(Personal Message from the Owner's Daughter)
Kapalua® Bay is one of my favorite places in the world. I have fond memories of swimming with my family in Kapalua® Bay when I was 12 years old. I can remember my Mom, Brother, Grandma, Aunt, Uncle and Cousins laughing and jumping the waves. It always brings a smile to my face when I think of those precious times.
My teen and early twenty years were spent soaking up the sun every summer break here. It was a time of fun and excitement. My 21st birthday was spent with my Aunt and cousins around the Bay Club Pool celebrating! Kapalua® Bay has been shared with many of my close friends and family.
I was married in Kapalua® and had my first champagne toast as a married woman, barefoot and in my wedding dress with my husband on Kapalua® Bay beach. The sunset was absolutely gorgeous!
Now that I have children of my own, they get to enjoy the same ocean breezes, sandy beach, and palm trees swaying that I remember as a child. It fills my heart knowing that the experiences they are having will always be with them throughout their lives. I know my Dad feels the same way. We sometimes catch a glimpse of him watching us enjoying the beach too. See Dad, I know you check up on us even when we are grown up!
One of my favorite things to do when arriving in Kapalua® is to step into the sand, close my eyes and listen to the waves rolling in. All of the wonderful years of memories come rushing back. It makes me relax just thinking about it!
A special thank you to my Grandparents who have made these memories so special for me. If it weren't for their determination and hard work in the 1970's to move to this beautiful place called Kapalua®, I wouldn't have had these precious times in my life. Love you Grandpa and miss you more than you know Grandma!
